English + Horticulture/Viticulture
English + Horticulture/Viticulture
(4-week course)
Improve your English language skills while learning New Zealand horticulture and/or viticulture terminology and practical plant nursery; gardening and/or viticulture skills.
You will learn skills such as:
- Using safe work practises in a primary industry workplace
- Carrying out practical production tasks associated with an entry-level role in a primary industry context
Study Schedule
Our 'English Plus' students receive a guaranteed number of hours of both English study and practical training, but the course schedules are necessarily flexible because the practical training component often depends on weather, equipment availability and the need to fit in with the schedules of other tutors (or of our hosts in the case of off-site visits).
Three days of English study from 9.00am until 3.00pm.
This takes place at the NTA English Academy, at 76 Peterborough Street, Central City, Christchurch.
Two days of practical training from 9.00am until 4.00pm.
This takes place at our Mcleans Island campus, at 890 McLeans Island Road, McLeans Island, Christchurch.
